Indoor 2022-23 Alliance Academy

Good afternoon soccer families, 

Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. (SYSI), in-cooperation with our five zones, is thrilled to announce the third season of the Alliance Academy for Indoor 2022/23. The Alliance Academy’s purpose is to provide Alliance League registered players an additional training opportunity within SYSI over and above their zone/club commitment. The academy will provide players the opportunity to receive high quality training, while being able to compete in Saskatchewan's largest youth soccer league! 

SYSI, the province’s largest youth soccer organization, is a not-for-profit organization that has been a leader in the Saskatchewan soccer community since its inception in 1984. SYSI, a collective of five zone clubs encompassing the entire city of Saskatoon, launched the new Alliance & City League structure and Alliance Academy a year ago designed to enhance the competitive level of play. The City League provides an option for players who desire a more relaxed atmosphere with less training commitments.

Alliance Academy registration for U11-U13 players with fees of $375 to $395 will open on Tues Jul 5 and remain open until maximum spots are filled and will be notified of their acceptance no later than Tues Oct 3. The Alliance Academy assessment registration for U15 Boys/Girls and U17-U19 Girls with an assessment fee of $45 per player will open Tues Jul 5 and remain open until Tues Sept 26. The U15 Boys/Girls and U17-U19 Girls selected players will be notified of their acceptance by Tues Oct 3.

For U17-U19 Boys Alliance League players please visit the SYSI website for a revised Academy-League offering for this group. Prior academy programming for this group has been removed from this memo and has changed.

Once maximum registrations per group have been received, players may be added to a waitlist. If field and coach resources are available, additional groups may be added, at which point waitlist registrants will be notified by SYSI.

Academy sessions for all age groups will take place on a weekday from 4:00 - 5:15 PM at the Saskatoon Sports Centre on turf beginning the week of Tues Nov 1 (not on Halloween) and run until Mon Mar 20 at the latest.

SYSI will be providing an exciting competition for the Alliance Academy training groups on the weekend of Jan 20 - 22, 2023 where each group will be guaranteed a minimum of three games. SYSI will be inviting three to four competing teams for each group. Groups are to be prepared to play as early as 2:00 PM on Fri Jan 20, 2023. If multiple teams are warranted due to player registrations in certain groups, the groups may be split into two teams at which point additional fees may be collected from each player for the Alliance Invitational of no more than $30 per U11 player and $50 per U13-U19 player. Zone clubs will be made aware of this event to ensure players are not expected to attend any club team obligations during that weekend.
