To coaches and team staff personnel,
As the new season unfolds, this moment is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and sincerely thank you for everything you give—your time, your energy, your knowledge, and most importantly, your heart.
When we meet on the sidelines over the coming weeks and months, let us remember that we gather not just as coaches, but as mentors, role models, and community leaders who play an essential role in shaping the lives of young athletes across our city.
Whether you're coaching U5 or U17, whether you're with a community team, a zone club, or part of the Alliance program—you are all part of one united soccer family. A family rooted in the belief that sport builds character, confidence, and connection.
Coaches, we know the job isn’t always easy. You’re the first one at the field and the last one to leave. You’re part tactician, part teacher, part cheerleader. You navigate the wins, the losses, the rainy practices, and the big moments that stick with a player for life. And through it all, you help young people not just become better soccer players, but better people.
This season, we challenge you to continue being champions of development over results, process over pressure, and inclusion over perfection. Build teams where every player feels seen, heard, and valued. Because long after they leave the pitch, it’s how you made them feel that they’ll carry with them.
As SYSI continues to grow, evolve, and raise the bar across our programs—from grassroots to high-performance—your role becomes even more important. You are the heartbeat of our vision to make soccer a sport for life in Saskatoon.
So, as we head into the outdoor season, let’s lead with passion, with purpose, and with pride in the collective badge we wear. Let’s continue to be the difference-makers in the lives of our young athletes.
Thank you for all you do. We see you. We appreciate you. And we’re cheering for you every step of the way.
Here’s to an exciting, safe, and successful 2025 outdoor season!
Sincerely,
Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc.
