SASKATOOON YOUTH SOCCER GUEST PLAYER REQUEST FORM

This form shall be submitted by the Team Contact who is requesting approval for the use of a guest player who is registered in SYSI in any capacity (ie. Non-League Academy, Non-League Tournament or Zone) other than their own organization (Zone, Member Organization, Club etc) to take part with their team in a sanctioned tournament (SISCO's, Zone tournaments, in-province tournament, or out-of-province tournament) or provincial competition. When a player is used an out-of-zone team, the care of the player during games or other related activities passes from SYSI and/or SYSI member to the guest team, guest zone or guest club making the player request. While SYSI and/or SYSI member does not want to restrict opportunities for players, it is important that parents and/or guest team understand and agree that the care of guest player(s) is out of SYSI's and/or SYSI member(s) control during times that they represent an Out-of-Zone team.

Before a Guest Player Request can be processed by the SYSI Office, the following steps need to occur:

  1. The SYSI Guest Player Request form has been completed and submitted to the SYSI Office by the Team Contact requesting the approval of a guest player who is registered in SYSI in any capacity (ie. Non-League Academy, Non-League Tournament or Zone) other than their own organization (ie. Zone, Member Organization, Club etc) to take part in a sanctioned tournament or provincial competition with their team. The form must be submitted to the SYSI Office prior to the competition with enough advance notice to allow for four (4) business days to process the request bearing in mind the competition's roster and/or travel permit deadline.
  2. Once received, the SYSI Office will forward the request for review to the player's declared Zone President, Technical Director and if applicable Team Coach within one (1) business day.
  3. The players declared Zone President or Technical Director shall provide a decision to the SYSI Office within two (2) business days of receiving such request.
  4. Once the SYSI Office has received the Zone decision, the office will notify all parties (Guest Player, Guest Team and if applicable Current Team) of the decision within one (1) business day. If the SYSI Office does not receive a response from the guest player's Zone, SYSI will inform the Team Contact requesting the player of the automatic approval upon reaching the maximum time allotment of four (4) business days after receiving the request.
